SEN Teaching Assistant – East London – ASAP Start!
£80 - 95 p/day
Long term/Full Time
A SEN School in Romford are looking for a resilient SEN Teaching Assistant to join their team. This “Good” Special Secondary School supports pupils by focusing on their Social and Emotional Wellbeing. The pupils here are primarily Autistic with associated needs including ADHD, Behavioural and Speech, Language and Communication difficulties. Though a Secondary School, pupils here are working at Key Stage 2 - so experience in either will be greatly beneficial! Working in-class, you will be encouraging positive social behaviours. Ideally, we are looking for SEN Teaching Assistants who have experience applying ABA (Applied Behaviour Analysis) and/or VB (Verbal Behaviour) but it is not essential. You will be comfortable working to an EHCP or IEP to promote functional language.
We are looking for a confident SEN Teaching Assistant who:
- Understands how to support SEMH, ASD and Behaviour needs
- Experience supporting SEN pupils in Key Stage 2 and/or Secondary School
- Holds a valid DBS/Police Check
If you are a SEN Teaching Assistant or HLTA and this sounds like you, then we would love to hear from you! Good luck
