A software as a service app platform our client work with global retailers creating highly effective and fully customisable mobile apps to provide the best shopping experience to allow retailers to build stronger brands, sell more products and deepen their customer loyalty. 

The Role

You will have an in-depth understanding of HTML, CSS and JavaScript development and deployment best practice as well as being a curious and enthusiastic individual with a passion for development. The main tech stack you will use is React and Gatsby, and you will style everything using  styled-components and use Storybook to organise our component library.

Duties

• You will work as part of the Product team to develop and extend our suite of web apps to provide essential management tools for our clients. Working closely with backend and native app engineers,  you will regularly ship new features that are notable for their beautiful and intuitive user interfaces, efficiency and cross-browser compatibility
• You will build new tools and functionality that delight our clients and push the platform to the next level. We have a frontend focussed role in mind, but if you’re interested in the backend, infrastructure or data elements of the platform, there’s definitely scope to get involved
• Day to day, most of your development will likely be in React, Redux and TypeScript, however we value strong Engineering principles, polyglot skill sets and boundless curiosity over years of experience churning out web apps

Experience

• Experienced building modular front-end commercial solutions in React, Typescript, Node.js.
• Are proficient in TDD
• You will need to know HTML5, CSS and JavaScript very well and demonstrate experience building accessible websites that perform well
• Experience with Node.js (desirable) 
• Experience building and extending APIs using something like Express or GraphQL
