Job Description:

Our Client is recruiting for a Legal Disrepair Case Manager to work with their legal disrepair taskforce team, addressing and taking ownership of legal disrepair claims into the business from customers and their legal representatives.

Job Purpose

  • To assist in the Management of Legal Disrepair cases inline with the Legal Disrepair Protocol.
  • Liaise with solicitors and residents in order to resolve outstanding repair /claims through to resolution.
  • To assist in identifying trends through analysis and reporting
  • To participate actively in, taking responsibility for ensuring the delivery of service.
  • Working closely with the Legal Team, Surveying and contractors to ensure effective communication and liaison arrangements are followed.
  • To assist in identifying issues requiring a management input to ensure that effective solutions are developed and implemented.
  • To work with the business partners to drive delivery of key performance indicators.

Skills and Experience

Essential: 

  • Legal Disrepair experience
  • Sound knowledge of section 11 of the housing law
  • Experience of working in a legal team or field
  • Excellent communication skills including written, oral and interpersonal
  • Excellent IT skills
  • An understanding of project management skills
  • Ability to negotiate
  • Ability to convey important messages through good presentation skills (oral, numerical and written)

Desirable:

  • Experience in incident and problem-solving environment
  • Ability to prioritise workloads to meet deadlines
  • Worked with CRM Northgate and SharePoint
