- Plan & implement preventative maintenance/repair schedules
- Be able to carry out diagnostic testing on marine engine, transmissions, drives, generators, and other equipment, both externally and in the workshop. Determining any repair requirement and adjustments
- Keeping accurate records or repairs and on going work both written and photographic
- Some work with automotive diesel engines but primary focus will be med/hi speed diesel engines - repair and refurbishment
As a skilled Marine/Industrial Mechanical Engineering Technician, with an HNC in a relevant engineering discipline or equivalent demonstrating both theoretical and a number of years practical experience in fault diagnosis and repair of diesel engines.

Although normal hours of work are 40 per week on a day-work basis, there is likely to be a requirement for overtime (paid) and possible attendance outside this period and provide call out cover, in response to operational and emergency situations.
