Job Role – Mobile Maintenance Engineer

Location – Sutton in Ashfield (3 sites)

Salary - £42,000 per year, plus overtime paid at x1.5 (OTE - £45k+)

Shifts – 6am – 2pm / 2pm – 10pm

The Company

The business specialises in the manufacture of adhesives for a range of industries including construction, automotive, aerospace, rail, and for the domestic use. The business have doubled their turnover in the last 5 years and are still growing, expecting to grow a further 10% this year. To meet their growing demand the business has recently invested over £1 million in a brand new filling line which will be operational in the next month, with plans for additional new lines later in the year.

The Role

The Mobile Maintenance Engineer will be required to attend breakdowns at their three manufacturing sites around Sutton in Ashfield. All three site are within a few miles of one another. 90% of the role will be reactive in nature at present due to lines running at maximum capacity, however with the addition of the new lines, the plan is to start to switch this to a more proactive approach.

70% of the role will be mechanical work as the lines run off compressed air as all three sites are ATEX sites due to the nature of the product. The Mobile Maintenance Engineer will be required to fault find and repair any mechanical or electrical breakdown that occurs on any of the lines. Electrically the Mobile Maintenance Engineer will need to fault find with a multimeter through to electrical components. The lines are PLC controlled, however no PLC work will be required.

The Mobile Maintenance Engineer will be required to use their own vehicle to move in between the sites, however all fuel is paid for by the business, as is any additional cost in insurance for using the vehicle for business use.

The Candidate

  • Must have a Mechanical Engineering Qualification.
  • Must have extensive knowledge and experience working on pneumatic systems.
