HGV Class 1 Driver (s) Required – Colnbrook

We are excited to be recruiting HGV Class 1 drivers for an organisation based in Colnbrook. Our customer is a worldwide organisation and their operation in Colnbrook which operates 7 days a week specialises in the movement of Biofuel (shredded clean waste), plastic and Cardboard.

Initially this contract is being offered on a temporary basis Monday to Friday, although should you prove to be a responsible, reliable, and professional candidate then there is an opportunity for this contract to be extended further with the view to becoming a permanent employee of our customer. 

Due to the nature of the work, you would be expected to operate a hydraulic walking floor trailer - previous experience of this would be beneficial, however this is not essential as they will provide you with full training / induction. We are looking for someone that would like to further their professional experience by using this type of equipment and has a helpful, can-do attitude.

Company Requirements:

• HGV Class 1 (C+E) Entitlement held for minimum of 12 months
• At least 6 months driving experience in an HGV Class 1 vehicle
• Valid Digital Tachograph Card
• Valid Driver Qualification (CPC) Card
• Maximum 6 points on licence – DR, DD or IN conviction codes will not be accepted
• Walking Floor trailer experience (preferred but not essential as training can be given)

Start times vary on day shifts it could be 04:00 to 06:00 or on night shift it could be a 17:00 to 18:00 start. A typical working day will be 10 hours however duties are known to be around the 12 to 15 hours a day mark.

These are temp to perm positions.

We are offering the following rates of pay*:

£14.00 per hour Days (06:00 to 18:00)

£16.00 per hour Nights (18:00 to 06:00)

£18.00 per hour Weekends
