Overview

Our clients are an established contractor working across the UK and are involved with Major UK infrastructure projects. They are currently looking for a Principal Landscape Architect to join their growing architecture team, previous experience as a Landscape Architect on large UK infrastructure projects is required to be successful in this role!

 

The company are well established within the landscaping and ground works sector and have been enjoying year on year growth (uninterrupted by Covid), and have exciting plans for the next 5years – now is a great time to become part of their successful journey!

 

The position of Principal Landscape architect is remote/ home-based so you can be based anywhere in the UK, however occasional travel to the client site in the South-West will be required so keep that in mind. You should have previous experience in a Senior or Principal role and be comfortable providing guidance to more junior members of team – communication is key!

 

Successful applicants will meet the following criteria:

  • Minimum 3-5years commercial experience as a Landscape architect working on infrastructure projects such as power/ energy, highways, rail or similar.  
  • Experience in preparing LVIAs (Landscape & visual impact assessments).
  • Sector experience with a good understanding of landscape planning/ development consent orders.
  • Strong project and line management skills, with excellent communication both written and verbal.
  • Hold chartered status and ideally a relevant degree in landscape architecture (or demonstrable experience).
  • Strong design skills, highly proficient in AutoCAD and adobe software packages, GIS knowledge/ experience would also be desirable.
  • Candidates applying should be: Self-motivated, ability to work independently, manage timescales/ workload and use own initiative in overcoming any problems that may arise.

 

Expected salary of £40-45k (dependant on experience) with excellent benefits package that includes travel allowance, discounted healthcare and a performance related bonus.
