Job Description:

The purpose of this role is to produce estimates for Anaerobic Digestion works in accordance with Company estimating procedures. The Estimator will work with other team members to develop customer solutions and report to the Divisional Director.

Roles and responsibilities may include:

  • Undertake estimates in accordance with Company procedures for both small-scale plant upgrades and larger new builds
  • Produce comprehensive proposal documents in Word format, but integrating images and tables
  • Develop and maintain active database of pricing information, including pumps, compressors, boosters, valves, instrumentation and pipework fabrication materials
  • Close liaison with suppliers to ensure accurate and up-to-date pricing of equipment· Liaise with the design team to agree methodology and principles· Obtain feedback from project delivery team on estimating adequacy and current costs· Close out actions and monitor customer negotiations, seeking amended authority as required
  • Working on Pricing Spreadsheets
  • Preparation of estimates for clients and business
  • Maintain relevant documents and enquiry/proposals tracker document
  • Identify opportunity and risk during the tender process

Skills and Experience:

  • Engineering qualification Degree or HNC/HND (or equivalents)
  • Engineering/Proposals/Estimating experience preferably in Water or Energy Sectors
  • Experience using Word, Excel and PowerPoint
