Job Title: Employment Consultant

Location: East Midlands 

Salary: £26,000 - £31,000 (Depending on experience) + benefits

Type: Full Time, Permanent

An exciting opportunity awaits a motivated and engaging individual who is looking to support the wider community and lower unemployment rates.

The Role:

• Manage a caseload of unemployed individuals, to achieve sustainable employment, through job search support, IAG, support with self employment and re-training.
• Engage, motivate and identify any barriers to gaining work.
• Carry out assessments to identify needs and aspirations of individuals on your caseload 
• Support your caseload with cv writing and the job application process.
• Create tailored action plans for each member of your caseload, ensuring timely and positive outcomes.
• Provide guidance with I.T related technologies to enable individuals to navigate online learning and job applications
• Proactively engage with local employers to source employment opportunities and market individuals from your caseload.
• Work towards and achieve targets and KPI's for job starts / placements.
• Completing all necessary paperwork in line with compliance and quality standards.

Essential Criteria:

• Must have experience of working within a performance target driven environment.
• A good understanding of the local labour market.
• Hold basic level of knowledge in self employment 
• Must have experience of working in a customer facing, target driven role.
• IT literate.
• Hold GCSE (or equivalent) in English and Maths at Grade C or above.
• Must be flexible with travel.
