Digital Rehearsals are a key part of our clients Digital Delivery strategy. To ensure their project teams have the support needed to integrate this digital tool as business as usual they have a need for a Regional Rehearsal Lead.

Based within the United Utilities region, you will develop and implement an overarching strategy for Digital Rehearsals in Region. You will work with regional Digital Delivery leads to develop regional strategies covering the tools, techniques, and training necessary for integration as business as usual into the regional delivery processes.

Our client is part of the Advance-Plus joint venture that will deliver a range of construction schemes to maintain and improve United Utilities water supply and wastewater treatment works within the North West region. The Joint Venture has been set up specifically to execute the 5-year (2020 - 2025) AMP7 capital delivery framework. We will be delivering a programme of works up to £500m over the 5-year period consisting of both heavy civil engineering and mechanical and electrical activities.

You will report directly to the National Rehearsals Lead and the responsibilities will include:

  • You will work closely with the regional leads identifying regional resources, both facilitators and technicians, to prepare, deliver and run rehearsals for their programmes of work.
  • You will support the collation and dissemination, both internally and externally, our successes and lessons learnt.
  • You will work with the Regional Engineering and Planning Lead to ensure the models are created in a way that minimises the input required to create a rehearsal.In addition, you will constantly technology scan for future enhancements within the rehearsal sphere.
  • Act as a rehearsal facilitator, both on specific projects and as a coach to identified resources.
  • Facilitate rehearsals on specific projects until resources are identified, competent and capable
  • Develop 4D models utilising Synchro for Digital Rehearsals, linking the model and programme, to provide visualisations

What are client is looking for

An essential requirement is 4D Synchro software capability. Appreciation on real critical path management and control and background in scheduling. Good communication skills, presentation skills and computer skills are necessary as is an ability to work with Delivery Teams developing and implementing regional strategies and practical applications. This role is about bridging the gap between engineering and delivery functions through collaborative practices.
