Our client is looking for a contractor to work on a potentially long term contract in the North West on a major infrastructure project. The candidate will lead and manage a Track engineering team and ensure the projects compliance with current standards and the requirements of Network Rail, and that the CRE role duties are discharged in line with the relevant issue of Network Rail Standard.

Responsibilities:

• To lead and manage all track engineering activities and co-operate with other engineering teams and disciplines.
• To manage, plan and implement track engineering activities such as Plainline and S&C track renewals, tamping, stressing etc.
• To monitor and improve the engineering team
• To supervise the creation of all necessary site documentation (inc. WPP's TB's etc)
• To ensure that critical engineering processes, such as TSI, CDM, CSM, CRT, speed raising (etc.) are appropriately managed and resourced within the track engineering team
• To drive the team to deliver on the engineering requirements and work closely with partner companies.
• To work closely with the H&S team and ensure the high standards to delivery this project safely are met.

The successful candidate will need to hold current Sentinel PTS card as well as be able to demonstrate previous CRE sign off in this discipline.
