Lamonby Recruitment are recruiting for a Structural Engineer on behalf of our client, a Structural Engineering consultancy in South West London.

My client is a consultancy with over 10 employees that covers an exciting range of projects on commercial, industrial and residential buildings.

They seeking a Structural Engineer to manage structural engineering work and carry out structural engineering analysis and calculations.

A large part of the role will be to undertake structural projects relating to Façades and Cladding in London and the South East. Therefore, the suitable candidate will have experience of Cladding / Façades.

Starting salary £40,000 to £50,000.

This is a long-term position with a view to be promoted to Associate/Principal Level within the next 12 months.

Structural Engineer Role

  • Managing structural engineering or other projects
  • Producing engineering analysis and structural engineering calculations on projects
  • Checking the work of our structural staff and any external structural engineering consultants
  • Creation of programs and spreadsheets for automated calculation
  • Creation of standard calculations within TEDDS.
  • Visit site as and when necessary
  • Keeping track of the latest facade structural product information
  • Support developing the team including recruitment of new staff with the Director approval
  • Develop the structural business area’s technical scope, together with the Director and Technical Leader

Role Requirements and Qualifications

  • Structural Engineering Degree or Similar
  • Minimum 3 years’ experience within a similar position
  • Good understanding of Cladding / Façades
  • Enthusiastic, hardworking individual
  • Well presented, professional appearance
  • Good communicator, with good written skills
  • IT proficient with Microsoft packages
  • Work well in a team environment
  • Driving license is essential
  • Eligible to work in the UK
