Our Client provides cloud based online dental practice management software that helps thousands of dental practices and professionals.

How you'll make an impact

As a Senior Software Engineer you will have a passion for delivering high quality code, working on a range of projects taking ownership of a feature from the original idea through to delivery. As part of your technical experience is the ability to take ownership of your environment, working independently as well as partnering closely with other engineers on projects. Building high quality products excites you, owning the product development lifecycle and problem solving, challenging yourself.

What you'll do

• Solve meaningful problems that contribute to improving the health of millions of people across the world
• Develop new product features and improve existing ones using a test-driven approach
• Work closely with other engineers, designers and product managers to deliver a product that delights our customers
• Work with your team to plan, scope and deliver projects.
• Contribute ideas for developing new code and refactoring existing code
• Review and provide constructive feedback on code written by others to help maintain high standards.
• Coach and mentor more junior members of the team

What you'll bring with you

• Experience in creating simple and intuitive web applications for a range of different end users
• A craftsman like approach to developing, deploying and maintaining web applications. You should be comfortable in owning front-end and back-end development
• 5+ years of experience as a software engineer
• A knowledge of developing web applications using an object orientated language like Ruby or Javascript
• Experience working with Javascript frameworks and Single Page Applications
• A robust knowledge of building and working with RESTful APIs
• Experience integrating with internal and third party services
• A knowledge of cloud computing platforms such as Amazon Web Services
• Independent, proactive and able to deliver production-ready code with minimal guidance
• You will be responsible for making decisions that will affect thousands of users. You won't be micromanaged!
