Senior Finance officer needed in Chichester £17.06ph ref 423355

Full time hours on a temporary basis.

Responsible for advising and influencing clients to ensure informed financial and performance decisions and sound financial and performance arrangements with a considerable direct impact on financial and performance management and service delivery. Including preparing budgets and plans, and managing accounting and performance arrangements, providing guidance as a key representative for the service area or activity. Prepares accurate and reliable financial and performance information to clients. Including developing and providing both recurring and ad hoc reports and regular budget monitoring reports (usually monthly) spending and identify variances and risks. Guides clients accordingly to make appropriate informed decisions. Prepares final accounts in line with CIPFA guidelines and Government regulations. Completes the required Government and CIPFA returns. Contributes to financial and performance planning working within the annual planning cycle. Advises clients on allocation of financial and operational resources to help them meet service requirements. Ensures that financial and performance management data is defined, captured and recorded on time and in the format required.
