Calibration Engineer – Mechanical Dimensional Inspection

Precision Engineering Business



This is an excellent opportunity to join a leading, multi-national Precision Engineering business based at their busiest UK site in Greater Manchester.



As calibration engineer you will be joining a great team of experienced and driven engineers within the state-of-the-art facility in Greater Manchester. You will be tasked with carrying out calibration on mainly dimensional measuring instruments including verniers, calipers, micrometers, plug and screw gauges and torque and force measuring instruments.


A key part of this role is also focused on accurate reporting and maintaining all documentation inline with IS17025 and ensuring all UKAS standards are maintained.



You will be a strong team player and someone who enjoys working in a fast-paced and vibrant environment. You will have a good grounding in Quality or Inspection and will be familiar with Calibration of Dimensional measuring equipment such as micrometers, verniers, calipers, etc.

As this is a busy, fast-paced environment this role will be well suited to candidates who have strong personal organisation skills and someone who enjoys working in a diverse and vibrant team.



 A leading specialist precision engineering business with multiple sites. They have a major UKAS accredited lab and provide a world class sub contract service to major manufacturing businesses within a number of precision engineering sectors such as aerospace, nuclear, medical devices and pharmaceuticals. They have large and diverse engineering team based at their flagship site in Manchester and are experiencing strong year-on-year growth.


Salary on offer for this role is: £24,000 - £26,000 + Benefits
