An exciting opportunity has arisen to support a key international capability contract supporting the entry into service of military aircraft with the Customers Armed forces. The role, supporting the Capability Entry into Service Programme Manager, will be responsible for ensuring key aircrew training and mission effectiveness products are in place to support operation of a new aircraft to the Customer.

The role will be required to review and challenge the operational plans developed and delivered by a series of shared services engineering capabilities, supporting the removal of barriers to delivery and identifying where additional support is required by senior leadership or the wider business.

The successful individual needs to be comfortable with a fast moving development environment, consisting of various semi integrated capabilities, be able to identify key issues and summarise often complex programmes for onward communications and in support of issue resolution.

The role is office based however given current Government and Company guidelines significant home working is required.

Responsibilities

The successful candidate will be required to perform tasks suitable to the internal level of this role. The role will contain, but will not be limited to, the following:

Hold regular reviews of and challenge Capability Development team Operational plans covering Aircrew Synthetic training devices, mission planning, electronic warefare, Aircrew technical publications and Aircrew training.

Review, update and agree status of operational and financial milestone trackers

Summarise status and key issues requiring additional support

Provide support/escalation route into programme team for dependencies/issues

Generate appropriate documentation to authorise work into engineering teams

The Individual

The role is to provide the Qatar Prime Contract Office (PCO) presence into the Air Sector - Air Service team, holding the delivery teams to account for delivery, supporting resolution of issues and being the point of escalation where additional support is required. The role acts as the delegate of the Qatar Capability Programme manager for these key aircrew capabilities to operate the Typhoon aircraft effectively.

The candidate must be good with Microsoft Office Excel, Word, PowerPoint, Project and Outlook
