LSA’s / Learning Support Assistant’s needed for a SEND school in Newcastle

A SEND school in Newcastle are looking for experienced LSA’s / Learning Support Assistant’s to help support children across the year groups. The right LSA needs to have extensive experience working with Autism, challenging behaviour and MUST have a moving and handling qualification, as well as feel comfortable providing personal care.  

The position is full time and is to commence immediately.

As a Learning Support Assistant you will ideally need to be:

• A team player
• Level 2 in Support Teaching and Learning (or equivalent) Qualified
• A qualification in moving and handling
• Minimum of 6 months school experience
• Able to adapt to all environments
• Have experience working in SEND schools
• Extensive experience working with Autism and challenging behaviour
• Comfortable providing personal care
