Cyber Security - IT Security - Security Analyst - Security Operations - Remote - Development Opportunity

IT Security Specialist needed for a business operating in financial services, the business are based in Birmingham but the role will be remote first with travel to the office twice per month.  The role is a general IT Security specialist with the ability to be responsible for security monitoring, reporting, elements of compliance and governance, assisting in best practice recommendations and training for the wider business and have an appreciation across the IT Security spectrum.

Technically you will know a SIEM tool like AlienVault, QRadar or similar, any knowledge of ForcePoint would be good but general knowledge around email gateways is needed. Vulnerability management tools like Qualys or similar and network security knowledge are needed too. Day to day management of core security functions essentially!

This role offers an opportunity to develop as a Security Specialist and start to take on leadership and management tasks over time, with the potential to step in to a bigger role over time. Your background will likely be in IT rather than compliance/risk or pen testing.
