Our client is seeking a suitably qualified and experienced engineer with extensive knowledge of the programming and operation of Swiss lathes and other CNC machinery. Your role will initially focus on CAD/CAM programming using Esprit software to write and prove out programmes for four Citizen lathes and a Hurco CNC mill; training in the Esprit software will be provided if required, but you must already have significant knowledge of this type of programme. We anticipate that the number and variety of machines will grow during the next few years and there will be considerable scope to broaden your experience; as a small company we very much respond to our customer's needs so you will be expected to be involved in other man- projects as they arise, in addition to the main tasks described above.

Essential requirements:

* Time served apprentice and 10 years workshop experience
* Considerable experience with sliding head lathes (ideally Citizen L20 & L32)
* Extensive experience of CAD/CAM software, ideally Esprit CAM
* Team player, positive thinking and flexible
* Good communicator at all levels
* Able to work unsupervised on your own initiative and produce work to the highest standards
* Clean and tidy
* Punctual, reliable and honest
* Prepared to provide occasional out of hours cover
* Positive attitude towards quality and deadlines

Nice to have:

* CNC Milling experience
* Experience of turning aluminium, titanium and plastics
* Maintenance of machinery and equipment
