Job Description:

Post Objectives:    To prepare, cook and serve meals as required in charge of kitchen.



Main Duties and Responsibilities


  1. To prepare and cook meals as required.


  1. To be responsible for cleaning kitchen area and equipment.


  1. To check quality and quantity of food deliveries.


  1. To observe safety regulations and procedures.


  1. To plan menus in conjunction with the officer in charge and residents.


  1. To set tables.


  1. To provide meals for special dietary needs.


  1. To report any mechanical defects and needs for repair.


  1. To keep a check on stock.


  1. To ensure the correct and economical use of equipment and materials.
