I’m working with a specialist valve manufacturer in to the chemicals sector. They currently have a new opportunity for a Technical Manager to join them and help grow a new valve division from its current £1M T/O to £10M T/O.
The company themselves are based in the UK (North West), however this position is to manage the technical aspect of their operation in China (remotely) and so, the successful candidate will be auditing and managing the technical elements of design and manufacture in China, but working primarily from home in the UK.
This will be managed primarily through emails, calls and Skype meetings for contact and also bi-monthly or quarterly trips to China (only around 7-10 days in duration) to audit the joint venture factory and ensure the Technical aspects are at the required level.
The company would like to speak with an experienced Technical Manager from within the valve industry and ideally someone qualified to C.Eng level (minimum Degree level) as the Technical Manager will have responsibility for the execution and maintenance of all Product Design and QA activities, plus assisting and advising the Commercial Departments regarding Engineering and Technical products.

The company, in return can offer a basic salary of circa £40-50K (DOE), plus a very healthy bonus of up to 50% of salary! (this would be based upon your assistance growing the business, through technical management and advice). You can be based anywhere in the UK but it may be easier for applicants to be based in the North of England for onsite meetings at the company’s offices.
