Job Description:

Paterson Recruitment are recruiting on behalf of our Client based in Croydon. Salary is dependant on experience £25k to £35k. 

 

Working as part of the Client Services Team you will provide administrative support to the Account Execs and Directors across New Business, Renewals, Mid Term adjustments and general day to day enquiries.   This may include accompanying the Account Exec on customer meetings and will include the updating/processing of amendments on SSP as required, the generating of new business and renewal reports.  You will support with marketing exercises as directed.

 

You will be responsible for accurately processing the finalised new business and renewals on SSP and the invoicing of clients, collection of money and the checking/ issue of Policy Documents.

 

You will be responsible for handling the smaller renewals and new business enquiries ensuring that the company’s policies and procedures are adhered to, delivering a first-class service to customers to achieve your own personal targets and contribute to the company’s overall strategy.

 

You will support the Sales Initiatives and will explore cross sell opportunities where this is relevant to the customer and pursue all new business opportunities with hunger and desire to achieve your personal target.  Renewal retention is key, and you will work to retain all customers and achieve your own personal targets.

Key Competencies required for the role

 

  • Cert CII (or progress towards).
  • Good/Developing technical knowledge of each line of business.
  • Good/Developing understanding of the Insurance Market.
  • Understanding of compliance requirements and process and procedures.
  • Understanding of what is required to deliver high customer service standards.
  • An understanding of the Sales process.
  • Negotiation and influencing skills.
  • Attention to detail and processing of systems accurately and timely.
  • Ability to manage high workloads and effective prioritisation to ensure deadlines are met.

Support the company’s growth strategy ensuring all renewals are actioned in accordance with the laid down policies and procedures to achieve the retention targets.  Cross sell opportunities to be pursued where the cover is relevant to the customer.  New Business enquires to be handled with hunger and desire and within deadlines.

  •  Assist in achieving Retention of our annual budget.
  •  Assist in achieving Growth of our annual budget.

 

Service & Relationship

 

  • Deliver a first-class service to all our customers, internal and external (including Insurers), to build and enhance the company reputation and aid renewal retention and new business acquisition.

  • Support the development of strong insurer and customer relationships ensuring their needs and timescales are understood and deliver insurance solutions that exceed our customer’s expectations.

  • Adhere to company processes and procedures ensuring laid down service standards are met or exceeded.

  • All incoming calls to be answered within 3 rings and post to be actioned within 24 hours.

 

 Compliance and Operational

 

To provide support to commercial clients and ensure conversion of new business, service of existing accounts and retention of renewals to achieve company income targets in accordance with company policies and procedures and ensure compliance with regulatory requirements including the FCA Conduct Rules.

 

 

Demonstrate that all systems (SSP and Acquire) are being used in accordance with the company’s process and procedures through regular auditing of work.
