 Paterson Recruitment are recruiting on behalf of our Croydon Client:

As an Account Director you will take responsibility for developing and maintaining strong relationships with our customers, gaining a deep understanding of their business and theirs needs and ensuring you provide insurance solutions that meet their requirements and deliver a customer service that exceeds their expectations.

 

Additionally, you will develop strong business relationships with our insurers, understanding their individual appetite and in accordance with the company placement strategy work with the Insurers to provide value for the Insurer, the client and Paterson recruitments Client

 

In accordance with your individual objectives and company targets you will be responsible for contributing to the company’s growth aspirations ensuring retention targets are met and new business opportunities are identified and secured.  You will actively support the Sales Initiatives to assist with identifying new prospects.

 

You will be required to provide development and mentoring to the Broker Support Team where appropriate to assist in the upskilling of all team members to create a pipeline of future talent.

 

As a senior member of the business, you will be expected to set a good example to the junior team members and demonstrate a positive attitude and behaviour.  This includes:

Key Competencies required for the role

 

  • Cert CII (progress to DIP CII preferred).
  • Strong technical knowledge of each line of business.
  • A thorough understanding of the Insurance Market.
  • Thorough understanding of compliance requirements and process and procedures.
  • Experience of delivering high customer service standards.
  • Practical Knowledge of Account Development.
  • Financial Acumen.
  • Entrepreneurial attitude – experience at identifying opportunities and developing through to delivery.
  • Thorough understanding of the Sales process.
  • Relationship management.
  • Excellent Communication Skills.
  • Strong negotiation skills.

Financial Objective

 

Deliver compelling and competitive insurance solutions to our customers and achieve new business, retention, and growth targets in accordance with company strategy and individual targets.

  • Achieve a new business targets 
  • Proactively seek new business opportunities including cold calling, networking and developing relationships with Introducers to support the new business delivery.
  • Proactively support the Sales Initiatives.
  • Proactively support the Tele Sales team following up leads and attending client meetings.
  • Achieve growth of 108% of Renewal Book (circa £x)
  • Work closely with each customer and the client services team to understand each customer’s individual needs and deliver an insurance solution to ensure acquisition and retention of each customer.

 

 Service & Relationship

 

  • Develop strong customer relationships to understand their needs and timescales and deliver insurance solutions within deadlines that exceed our customer’s expectations.
  • Develop and maintain strong insurer relationships to enhance the company reputation and adhere to company placement strategy.
  • Adhere to company processes and procedures ensuring laid down service standards are met or exceeded.
  • All incoming calls to be answered within 3 rings and post to be actioned within 24 hours. 

 

Compliance and Operational

  • Understand and comply with the company policies and procedures and ensure compliance with all regulatory requirements.
  •  Demonstrate that all systems (SSP and Acquire) are being used in accordance with the company’s process and procedures through regular auditing of work.
