Overview

Our clients are an established contractor working on a variety of projects across the UK, including early phase HS2 sites in the Midlands. They are currently looking for an Assistant Site Manager to join their growing team, ideally someone who has a minimum of 2years experience within the construction industry working as an APM previously. The position will be based out of Andover however some project work will require nights away (Paid an additional £30 per night away with accommodation already arranged), the successful candidate must be willing to stay away as and when project needs require.

 

The successful candidate will work alongside the Project Managers and ensure that site work is being delivered in a safe & timely manner, often taking the lead position and holding responsibility for site operations and health and safety. Any prior experience of environmental or ecological sites would be beneficial, but not the deciding factor when we consider your application.  

 

Successful applicants will meet the following criteria:

  • Minimum 2years commercial experience as an Assistant Site Manager, taking responsibility for overseeing works delivered on site.
  • SSSTS or SMSTS
  • Valid CSCS card or equivalent
  • Good understanding and knowledge of H&S guidelines and site processes.
  • Be physically fit and self-motivated
  • Excellent communication skills, ability to lead and direct others and get stuck in with hands-on work when required.

 

This position is permanent with excellent future progression opportunities with the company, the successful candidate can expect to receive a starting salary of £30,000, paid overtime and staying away allowance along with other benefits.
