Job Description:

My client is a leading high-profile packaging manufacturer in North Bristol, and they are currently searching for a Maintenance Team Leader.

 

Responsible for coordinating the maintenance plan to achieve predefined targets for the Maintenance team in terms of continuous improvement, safety, quality, service level and people empowerment.

 

Duties include:

 

  • Responsible for effective coordination and execution of maintenance activity on shift
  • Lead and supervise maintenance team on fault finding and repair of plant and machinery
  • Plan and supervise the installation of new plant and equipment
  • Attend continuous improvement meetings with Senior Team Leaders and support CI activity using
  • members of team
  • Support the daily help chain meetings ensuring presence of the maintenance team at the meeting
  • Ensure maintenance KPI’s are recorded and updated by all Maintenance Technicians. Responsible for
  • Maintenance KPI’s on shift
  • Ensuring attendance and performance of Maintenance Technicians on shift using Company HR
  • processes and recognising strong performers using focussed recognition system
  • Develop self in accordance with the Maintenance - Department’s Skills Standards Handbook
  • Support Maintenance Technician’s development driving cross transfer of skilling between team
  • members
  • Provide training sessions on new plant and equipment

 

Requirements:

 

  • Engineering qualification or technical college degree (mechanical, electrical)
  • Experience in engineering in an FMCG industry (3 years minimum) including knowledge of line operation, ideally time served an apprenticeship
  • Knowledge of process equipment; including hydraulics, pneumatics and PLCs
  • Knowledge and experience of health and safety regulations including PTW, SSOW and LOTO
  • Experience working in a multifunctional team (capital projects) preferred
  • Experience in coordinating, motivating and leading people
  • Experience in implementing TPM/Problem-solving tools
  • Knowledge of systems
  • Committed to ensuring an attitude of absolute intolerance for unsafe situations, in relation to product quality, people and environmentally safe

 

Our client operates a double daily shift rotation which consists of 7:00am – 15:00pm and 15:00pm – 23:00pm

 

Our client offers continuous personal development and will support you with becoming multiskilled. In return our client a starting salary of £30K - £32K plus 14% shift premium.
