GDPR Consultant Team Lead Part-Remote (One Day Per Fortnight in Office), Private Medical, Subsidised Gym Membership, Enhanced Pension Contribution Hertfordshire

Our Cyber Security client is growing their GDPR consultancy team and is looking for a senior GDPR subject matter expert with experience of delivering GDPR consultancy, including gap analysis, implementations and DPO services, to a wide variety of customers. The Senior GDPR Consultant role would also have responsibility for managing the GDPR team.

You should have an excellent understanding of GDPR and other privacy legislation e.g. PECR and be able to deal with the ever-changing compliance environment. They are looking for someone who can deliver excellent customer service, manage the team of GDPR consultants, develop and improve existing product offerings, bring new ideas to the team, develop new privacy product offerings and have a good understanding of cyber security best practices.

Responsibilities;

  • Leading the GDPR team
  • Scheduling and managing capacity
  • Development of new privacy related products and services
  • Improving existing products and services
  • Being the subject matter expert for GDPR, PECR and other privacy related legislation
  • Delivery of their GDPR services to a wide variety of customers
  • Maintaining regular contact with DPO customers
  • Conducting GDPR gap analysis
  • Conducting GDPR implementations i.e. data flow mapping, developing policies and procedures, records of processing, DPIAs, LIAs etc
  • Supporting clients with data breaches and data subject access requests
  • Reviewing and writing client GDPR documentation
  • Keeping careful logs of client interactions
  • Delivery of in-house GDPR awareness training to customers
  • Supporting the sales time with scoping calls with new customers
  • Providing clients with regular updates on the latest privacy related news
  • Contribute to the development and improvement their portals
  • Support marketing activities where required e.g. writing content
  • Contribute to the development and improvement of their GDPR documentation set

Skills Required;

  • People management skills
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills
  • Excellent GDPR knowledge
  • Strong research skills to keep abreast of changes in legislation
  • Good knowledge of PECR
  • Knowledge of CCPA and other international privacy laws (desirable)
  • Cyber Security best practice awareness
  • Customer management skills, particularly in relation to setting and managing customer expectations
  • Ability to manage multiple client projects effectively
  • Ability to assimilate information about customers quickly
  • Ability to work autonomously with little supervision
  • Good MS Office skills

Required Experience / Qualifications;

  • Minimum of 3 years' experience in a GDPR consultancy role
  • Minimum of 1 years' experience of managing small teams
  • The ideal candidate should have one of the following qualifications; GDPR Practitioner, IAPP CIPP/E qualification or a law degree with focus on privacy and GDPR
