Ashberry Recruitment are looking for an experienced Developer to join their Padiham based client.


Exciting opportunity to join the web development team of a rapidly growing and highly respected global firm.

Our client is renowned for its innovative commercial and residential property developments, storage centres and car parks.

An exciting new opportunity has arisen to join a successful, growing IT Department Full Stack Web Developer, specialising in Django and Python.

The department works across all the Group's businesses and is responsible for the continued development of all the Group's websites, both in terms of appearance, and UX.

As a member of the team, you will be responsible for managing multiple websites across the different sectors in which Group First is active.

You will be expected to plan, research, execute and provide monthly reports on the progress and performance of multiple website improvement and UX projects, A/B testing and working alongside the marketing department to improve user funnels and be comfortable doing so.

You will also be expected to be fully conversant with Django and Python frameworks and to be heavily involved in planning and executing the designs of any new websites the Group should undertake the creation of.

A proven history of building successful and aesthetically pleasing websites. You must be completely at ease creating and presenting new websites, specifically built in Django and Python, but a sound working knowledge of other platforms would be beneficial.

As an integral member of our IT Department, you must also be comfortable dealing with multiple board level stakeholders within the business and juggling numerous projects at once.

The ideal candidate must have:

  • Knowledge of Python and the Django framework
  • Configuring server software which includes Linux, Apache, Nginx, MySQL, PostgresSQL
  • Responsive web sites using HTML 5, CSS 3, Javascript & jQuery
  • Experience with SOAP and Restful APIs specifically for native app development
  • An impressive portfolio of previous work
  • High experience and regard to UX, UI
  • 2-3 years front-end experience
  • Passionate about staying on trend with the latest techniques and software
  • Strong problem-solving abilities
  • Ability to work well under pressure, manage workflows and meet deadlines
  • Confidence taking ownership of projects and working both individually and as part of a team


Beneficial but not essential skills include:

  • Experience and knowledge of Wordpress and its various plugins
  • Experience not only using, but also building and troubleshooting APIs


Experience  Proven experience of creating websites, from scratch, and fixing issues on websites that others have built. Exemplary knowledge of Django and Python is a basic requirement. You must be able to demonstrate your abilities and present numerous examples of successful website design and build projects.
