AWS DevOps Engineer
Agile Recruit is currently looking to hire permanent & contract AWS DevOps Engineers to join a leading solutions consultancy, the position is as followed:

Position:
The DevOps Engineer role will be working to support mission critical projects and platforms for public sector bodies on a standard business hours Monday to Friday. The role is based remotely at present, but UK business travel must be something you can live with in the future. Our clients operate DevOps environments using the very latest cloud-based technologies and approaches.

Essential skills & competencies:

• Currently security cleared to BPSS, or able to undertake clearance
• Strong communication skills, both oral and written
• Ability to express technical concepts and issues into user friendly language
• Knowledge & experience of the following:
  • Docker and/or Kubernetes
  • Hadoop and/or Hortonworks
  • Postgres
  • CoreOS
  • AWS
  • CI/CD
  • Terraform
  • Jira
  • Ansible

Beneficial skills & competencies:

• Knowledge and/or Experience of working with:
  • DevOps environment
  • Azure
  • Hybrid and Multi Cloud architectures
  • Cloud & Cloud Security Concepts (Architecture)
  • ITIL
  • Dynatrace
  • Git, GitHub, and/or Gitlab
  • Nginx, HAProxy, and/or Unicorn
  • Deploying, Profiling, & Debugging Distributed Systems
  • Python, Go, and/or BASH
  • HIDS, NIDS and/or Security Hardening
  • Configuration Management Tools (Puppet or Ansible)
  • CI & Build Engineering
• Ability to operate in small cross-functional engineering teams to build supportable, sustainable, and reliable services
