My client is recruiting for a Graduate/Assistant Engineer to work in Energy/Water/Environmental Sectors

Location: Home based preferably in the South East of England with occasional site visits

This role would suit someone with an interest in data and a strong understanding of excel including creation of pivot tables, look ups, able to synthesize vast amounts of data, keen on understanding energy data, knowledge of dashboarding and power BI knowledge would be an added bonus.

Typical work may include:

  • Analysis of fuel and utility bills, estimation of energy efficiency savings and costs, keen on cost benefit analysis
  • Analysing utilities such as boilers, chillers, CHP and other large scale utilities
  • Reviewing building management systems including HVAC and BMS
  • Working with senior engineers and stakeholders to present concepts and communicate findings and proposals to an internal audience
  • Researching a range of renewable energy technologies available on the marketplace and assessing them in relation to specific and generic client needs
  • Communicating with suppliers to understand technology capabilities, limitations, costs and subsidies

Experience and Qualifications:

  • Degree in chemical/mechanical/energy engineering or equivalent
  • Able to analyse utilities such as boilers, chillers, CHP and other large scale utilities
  • Experience of building management systems including HVAC and BMS - bonus
  • Some engineering experience would be preferred
  • Familiar with energy and mass balances
