Job Title: Health and Wellbeing Adviser

Location: Durham

Salary: £23,000 - £26,000 (depending on qualifications and experience)

Type: Full Time, Permanent   Duties:

• Work closely with jobseekers to identify any health and wellbeing barriers that may be impacting their ability to find and maintain employment.
• Devise and maintain individual learning plans and goals for each member, assessing the progress of your caseload
• Create health plans and deliver advice and coaching to learners on various lifestyle habits such as promoting healthy eating, smoking cessation, alcohol reduction, encouraging physical activity, improving confidence and/or mental wellbeing.
• Design and lead on activity group sessions for your caseload.
• Signpost your caseload (if required) to various Specialist Services and online activities.
• The successful candidate will be flexible with their delivery methods and be able to adapt quickly to learners needs.

Essential Criteria:

• Must have experience of working within a similar supportive customer facing and/or health and wellbeing role.
• A minimum of 2 A-Levels or an equivalent Level 3 Diploma
• GCSE English Language at a minimum of a Grade B (or equivalent Level 2 qualification) OR achievement of a Level 2 in Literacy Assessment at interview stage.
• Ideally have experience of delivering / coaching individuals who demonstrate health and wellbeing barriers (e.g. individuals who have counselling needs / depression / severe low self esteem).
• Excellent knowledge and understanding of a healthy lifestyle and their benefits.
• Ability to communicate at all levels, tailoring sessions to meet the learner’s needs.
• Excellent organisation skills.
• Full, clean driving licence and use of a vehicle.
