A fantastic opportunity for a technical support engineer to X-Train into broadcast media.

What you will be doing:
You'll be providing customer support and troubleshooting network and system issues as well as learning some new things on the video streaming side. The role lends itself to an experienced Linux Support Engineer / Linux Systems Administrator with solid technical engineering experience, scripting ability and good troubleshooting skills.

Specific duties will include:
  • Working with solution architects to implement the roll-out of SaaS products
  • Troubleshooting live production issues using standard Linux tools and scripting
  • Hardware/software migration
  • Customer site installation and support
Skills & Requirements 
  • A good experience in working with Linux (preferable CentOS/RHEL flavours)
  • Understanding of shell scripting or other scripting languages such as PERL, Python, PHP
  • Competence in IP, HTTP, and DNS.
  • Experience working with high availability systems
  • Enjoy working with large scale web applications
  • Keen to learn new technologies
  • Customer facing with the ability to express concepts clearly and concisely by email or verbally
And you can skip the London commute.

This position will commence with 3 days a week home working. No excessive on-call responsibilities.
