Our successful and growing client are on the look out for a new showroom sales consultant to join the team based at their head office in Wallingford.

Whether you are a newcomer to the industry with enthusiasm, excellent customer service skills and the drive to learn and thrive, or an experienced and well established sales consultant with knowledge of the industry – this role could be for you.

 

 

Job Title:                    Showroom Sales Consultant

Hours of work:          Monday to Friday 8.30am – 6.00pm (1 hour lunch break) with a set day off in the week and 10.00am – 4.00pm Saturdays

Job Purpose:             To carry out the designing and quoting of bathroom products

 

Key responsibilities and accountabilities:

 

  • Ensure that the customer experience when visiting the showroom is second to none
  • Deal with prospective and existing clients in person on the showroom and via the telephone
  • Respond to emails in a timely manner
  • Assist with answering incoming calls
  • Produce quotes using the Kerridge system taking into account customers designs constraints
  • Produce CAD designs utilising Virtual Worlds software
  • Take payment and issue receipts
  • Liaise with warehouse staff regarding deliveries
  • Assist clients by going on site survey visits to measure up their room(s) and gather relevant information
  • Regular management of your customers outstanding quotes, WIP, returns and CODs
  • Assist in the upkeep of the showroom, selling ex-display and discounted products, making the Showroom Manager of any snagging requirements
  • Be aware of new products coming into the market place from suppliers
  • Continuous development of product knowledge
  • Be aware of special offers/terms occasionally offered by suppliers in order to be as competitive as possible when producing quotes
  • Attend supplier/manufacturer product training and launch days as required

  • Experience in the planning and design of bathrooms
  • Trade and/or Retail design experience preferred
  • Strong interpersonal skills
  • Ability to communicate on all levels
  • Ability to sell
  • Excellent telephone manner
  • A driven personality with a desire to succeed
  • Committed to delivering the best possible customer service
  • Must be able to use MS office applications – Word, Outlook and Excel to a competent standard
