The Company:

My Client are growing within the steel sector. Due to expansion, they are now looking for a maintenance engineer (electrically biased) to repair the machinery which mainly includes slitting lines, de-coilers, Amada lasers and much more. They aren’t looking for the finished article, this position will suit an installation electrician who has some knowledge of 3-phase motors, wiring diagrams, and 240v.

Day to day duties include:

Installation work on both factory and process machinery.

Fault find on 415v, 240v, 110v and 24vac and dc systems.

Fault find on OHC’s, Remote handsets, contactor function, fuses.

DC drives/inverters basic knowledge would be an advantage

maintain high bay lighting replacement, repair and LED upgrade.

Test emergency lighting and evacuation alarm system.

Experience required:

• Minimum 2 years’ experience working within the electrical field as an electrically biased maintenance engineer or installation engineer
• knowledge of 3-phase motors, contactors, sensors, relays and general electrical fault finding, PLC knowledge is not necessary
• Any manufacturing environment welcome – FMCG, Food, plastic, packaging, Pharmaceutical, foundry, brick, distribution, automotive, metals, RAF, Forces etc.
