Our Client is the UK’s largest independent industrial refrigeration and multi-faceted engineering group. Due to on going success, they new have the need for a Commissioning Engine er to join  their successful team in Suffolk.

Travelling across the country to several live installation sites, the role is site based and as such will require the successful candidate to be away from home for approximately 4 nights per week.

Key activities within the role of Site Engineer include but not limited to:

  • Installation engineering activities of mechanical equipment.
    • Lead Installation of under floor heater mats
    • Assisting Site Manager with supervision of subcontract installations.
    • Preparation for/assistance with Commissioning – Pressure testing, charging secondary systems, strainer cleans, purging etc.
    • Identifying and completing snagging works.
    • General site labouring e.g. Painting, cleaning, finishing work

Potential progression into Site Supervisor/Manager role could be explored for the right candidate.

The successful candidate will be a motivated, hands on engineer who will work as part of the team ensuring our reputation of high quality is upheld.

You will have:
• Experience of either mechanical, electrical or general site based engineering
• A full clean UK drivers licence
• Excellent technical and communication skills along with the ability to work to deadlines.
• Good organisational skills are vital as the role involves managing our service to multiple customer’s.
• Ability to manage your own workload
• Ability to work as part of a team as they will be working closely with a number of suppliers, subcontractors and internal departments

Preferred experience includes:
• Understanding of refrigeration/pressure systems
• Site based with travel throughout the UK

In return, our client is offering a salary of £30,000 - £40,000 (DOE) plus fantastic company benefits.
