Marketing Manager needed in Leeds £24.72ph PAYE - Reference:5178817

 

This role will involve:

  • Working with a team of press officers to provide management and oversight of content production
  • Planning proactive and reactive content to support communication of work and pledges, horizon scanning to capitalise on opportunities and threats
  • Direct and quality assure production of written content, including press releases, op eds, and social
  • Advise and provide briefings on PR/PA issues, obtained intelligence and insight findings ensuring the views of the client are accurately and appropriately reflected.
  • Ensure the client’s websites are appropriate, accessible, user-focused and in line with the desired projection of message, image and brand that we are seeking to portrays to the public and stakeholder audiences nationally and beyond.
  • Oversee the management of PR/PA campaigns, specific PR/PA orientated programmes & Departments, and establishing and maintaining profile for key long-term projects in partnership with District Communications teams, maintaining the strategic Communications and PA focus and liaison with all teams and departments.

Ideally candidates will:

  • Show willingness to work varied hours in a covid-safe office environment in central Leeds 
  • Educated to Degree level with relevant qualification in marketing, PR or communications, or equivalent experience
  • Chartered Institute of Public Relations and Chartered Institute of Marketing membership
  • Extensive practical experience of successfully performing in a similar role.
  • Experience of prioritising, planning and organising workloads 
  • Experience of managing people including appraisals, performance management, disciplinary, recruitment and selection.
  • Demonstrable experience of managing and championing change successfully
  • Strong communication skills with the proven ability to influence, negotiate and challenge.
  • Experience of making compelling business cases/ reports to a range of audiences.
  • Experience of negotiating costs and managing and monitoring significant project and campaign budgets
  • Demonstrable experience of successfully managing budgets.
  • Proven experience of confidently and professionally conveying information both written and oral in a clear, concise and persuasive style.
  • Comprehensive experience of leading, negotiating and influencing stakeholders.
  • Experienced in forming and developing effective senior level working relationships with Members, Government and partner organisations to achieve the best outcomes for the organisation.

This is working full time hours on a temporary contract basis
