Communications Officer needed in Leeds £16.48ph PAYE - Reference:5178588

This role will involve:

  • Working as part of a team of press officers carrying out production of press releases, op eds, and social, at events
  • Liaising with journalists over media opportunities and advising the client on response
  • Working under pressure, at speed, with accuracy and attention to detail, and an ability to grasp unfamiliar topics
  • Willingness to work a variety of shifts both at home and in a covid-safe office environment in central Leeds
  • Plan, manage, deliver and evaluate integrated, multi-channel communications and marketing campaigns aimed at promoting innovation services to local, regional and national audiences.
  • Advise on how best to maximise strategic and tactical communications and public affairs opportunities to achieve the organisation’s objectives
  • Typically works on horizons of up to one year, in line with the objectives set in the business plan
  • To uphold procedures in place to achieve your strategic objectives, suggesting amendments to processes as required
  • Ensuring compliance with the client’s health and safety policy.
  • Represent the interests of your team within the context of the wider aims of the client both internally and externally.
  • Foster good working relations across the organisation, building effective team relationships

This is working full time hours on a temporary contract basis
