About this role:

My client are building a modern, digital-first platform and are looking for a foundational backend developer who shares our passion for using technology to make the world a better place.

You should apply if you:

• Have more than 5 years of Python development experience building large applications
• Like greenfield projects and a chance to bootstrap our technology stack
• Love building and consuming REST APIs
• Live on the command line
• Postgres/Elasticsearch/Redis are tried and tested tools you reach for
• Use infrastructure as code with AWS, Google or a similar cloud provider

Nice to have 

• Have experience in modern JavaScript, HTML and CSS
• Have experience with web, hybrid or native mobile development

What you’ll do:

• Work closely with the CTO to define architecture and technology stack
• Work closely with the CPO and Lead designer in defining end-to-end experience for customers and internal-facing products
• Make major contributions to our MVP and product as it evolves
• Build APIs to support the frontend, mobile and other third-party consumers
• Bootstrap the dev team practices, e.g. continuous integration, coding standards, workflow
• Help hire other team members and mentor the less experienced
