We currently have a new vacancy for a Project Manager to join a specialist manufacturer that supplies into construction sector, the preferred Project team Manager should be used to working in the specialist contractor environment.
The Project Manager will be Responsible for managing the whole Project including, Handover, Design, Approval, Procurement/Commercial, Manufacture, QC, Delivery, Install, Remedials, Final Payment of Retention) in order to achieve / exceed sale and profit targets set by the board.
The successful candidate will be offered a starting salary of between £35,000 to £40,000 and be within a commutable distance to Portsmouth holding a full UK driving licence.
Project Manager Role
Responsible for ensuring personal and team monthly turnover targets are met and reporting this to the Board.
Responsible for hand-over of all required information and sign-off for the job from Sales to Contracts Team.
To ensure the Project Engineers provide a project pack for the job, including budgets, program etc, in a timely manner to suit the Clients Programme.
To sign off and have full visibility of any change orders/compensation events
To oversee all procurement of all materials/to sign off all expenses
To challenge how works are delivered to increase margin/efficiencies
To support the Project Engineers to overcome any problems
Role Requirements and Qualifications
The Project Manager will ideally have between 3-5 years’ experience in a similar role managing projects and a team up to the value of 1.5 Million
Ideally qualified to a degree standard within a relevant subject such as construction or engineering
Full driving licence
Clear and precise communication skills written and verbal
High organisational skills
