Purchasing Manager (Peterlee) – Permanent; Full Time; Up to £57,000 PLUS bonus!

The Role of a Purchasing Manager:

• Ensure cost-efficient and on-time supply of materials for assigned organizational unit.
• Management of team of professional Buyers and/or Order Management staff.
• Acts as escalation point of contact for any deliveries.

• Ensures observation of relevant (regional or worldwide) supplier markets and the respective accredited suppliers.
• Develops and maintains a solid network with suppliers, on an accountable level.
• Manages completion of unit's purchasing budget planning and related reporting.
• Involvement in large scale projects across sites.

Key Requirements:

• Must have previous experience within Purchasing Manager level role
• Automotive background preferred but not essential – however MUST be manufacturing/ engineering environment
• Confident, resilient and strong communicator
• Experience of working with global supply base
• Flexible with world wide travel
