Senior Multimedia Developer (BAE Defence Systems) - 12 Month Contract - Warton Aerodrome, Preston - £34.77ph PAYE or £44.68ph UMB (Inside IR35)

The Umbrella rate quoted above is the Gross Umbrella rate (i.e. the rate we pay to the Umbrella Company inclusive of ALL employment costs). Clearance Requirements & Eligibility

Security Clearence + ITAR

This role will require the person to hold full Security Clearance (SC) prior to working onsite. You will need to obtain a Criminal Record Check. You must currently hold or be eligible and willing to obtain SC. In addition, this role involves direct access to ITAR Material. Therefore we can only consider UK Nationals for this position. Job Description
Due to an increasing workload there is a requirement for x2 Senior Multimedia Developers (Grade E) to support the existing full-time team in developing media content. Media is used in electronic training products (aka Courseware) for our military air platform customers. Therefore, the ability to discuss and understand technical content (i.e. aircraft engineering drawings & schematics) supplied by both Aircrew and Maintenance Training Specialists is key to translating this into effective training content.

- The use of Adobe Creative Cloud toolsets with Photoshop & Illustrator to expert level. The ideal candidate would have advanced skills in one or more of the following: Autodesk 3d Studio Max, Adobe Animate, Articulate Storyline and / or Unity Professional.

- All applicants must be fully PC literate and have good MS Office skills.

- Good communication skills, both aural and written, are required.

- The positions are available until the end of March 2022 but, if workload requires it, then may be extended by 3 to 6 months.

Additional Information

Due to timing of project workloads we require the assistance of a couple of experienced Multimedia Developers to support Courseware (electronic training material) & Media Development activities. This requires working in conjunction with both Aircrew and Maintenance Training (subject matter) Specialists. This covers numerous customer air platforms but at present predominately in support of Typhoon & Hawk, although you may be asked to support a range of other training programmes.

The successful candidate will be required to perform tasks suitable to the internal level of this role. The role will contain, but will not be limited to, the following:

Use of industry standard tools to develop multimedia and courseware. For multimedia, and as a minimum, this entails the production of 2d static and potentially some animated content. So all applicants must have expert level knowledge with Adobe PhotoShop & Illustrator. Any experience with Adobe Animate and / or Autodesk 3d Studio Max and / or Articulate Story line and / or Unity Professional would be beneficial. Note that courseware is nominally built with Articulate Story line of which a basic level of training can be provided if required.
Day to day activity management and reporting will be to a the Media Team Leader and / or Engineering Manager.

Work is carried out in accordance with International Traffic in Arms Regulations (ITAR) regulations.

The candidate must have excellent skills with Microsoft Outlook PowerPoint, Adobe Photoshop and Adobe Illustrator, they must also have good knowledge of Microsoft Office Excel, Word, Autodesk 3D Studio Max (preferable), Articulate Storyline (preferable) and Unity Professional (preferable).
