National Operations Manager – Landscape/ Ground maintenance

My client are one of the UKs leading groundworks and landscaping contractors, and work on many of the UKs major infrastructure projects with other leading organisations. Delivering the highest standard quality of work is of the upmost importance, interested? Read on!

 

Overview:

The position of National Operations Manager will be based from home, with a large amount of travel to site projects across various areas of the UK. The successful candidate will run a flexible and varied diary so must be comfortable with commuting to sites on a regular basis, the ideal candidate will come from a contracts management background within Landscaping/ Grounds maintenance.  

 

You will continuously oversee the delivery of works by the contracts management teams, managing and driving results to ensure high levels of service are always met; therefore previous management experience is of the upmost importance. You will be well versed on Health and Safety, be able to spot areas of concern and work closely with the HSQE team to ensure incidents are kept to a minimum.

 

Successful Construction Managers will meet the following criteria:

  • Previous experience in a Senior Contracts Manager/ Operations manager position
  • Minimum 5years experience within the Landscaping/ Grounds maintenance/ Horticulture sectors.
  • Experience in Managing teams, driving success and motivating those around you to continuously deliver top levels of service.
  • Excellent client management, relationship development and business awareness for areas where business development can take place.  
  • Be a passionate advocate of Health and safety, ensuring HSE compliance is continuously adhered to on site and within on-going projects.
  • Capable of continuously assessing risks, managing changes and being adaptable to changing scenarios.
  • Be comfortable with UK wide travel on a regular basis throughout your working week, operating a flexible diary to meet client needs.
  • Have excellent management skills, clear communication and English writing skills, attention to detail and drive excellence by the example you set.


The successful Construction Manager can expect to earn a base salary of £45,000-£50,000, company car + Fuel expenses (Tesla model 3 option!), twice annually bonus (This has continued un-affected throughout 2020), and a long list of further company benefits.
