Job Description:

We have an exciting opportunity with our client to join their Scottish office as an IT Security Consultant, to support the sale and delivery processes across a range of

security technologies.

 

Description

For over two decades our client has delivered industry leading IT security

solutions to public and private sector clients across the UK and Ireland. They

are looking for an experienced, enthusiastic individual who can apply

themselves across multiple IT disciplines including security consultancy,

implementation and a range of other customer and vendor engagements.

 

Responsibility Highlights

Provide pre-sales assistance to their Scottish team of Account Managers;

attend customer facing meetings in a technical pre-sales capacity; understand

the company’s portfolio and be capable of advising, scoping and deployment of

key technologies within it; undertaking webinars, conference calls and

meetings, presenting the solutions we offer.

 

Technology Focus

Successful candidates will have excellent TCP/IP networking skills; be able to

demonstrate knowledge with relevant certifications where appropriate for

solutions including firewall technology, content security, SIEM solutions and

endpoint security technologies.

 

Technical/Solution Experience Required

  • Excellent TCP/IP networking skills
  • A working knowledge of the Unix Operating System
  • An understanding of other Operating Systems and platforms such as Microsoft, iOS and Virtual infrastructures
  • Knowledge and appropriate certifications on any of the following technologies: firewalls, IDS, content security solutions, proxies, SEIM
  • A working knowledge of Check Point solutions

 

Product Experience Required

  • Check Point; CCSA/CCSE certifications would be preferable

 

Requirements

  • Must have UK driving license
  • Must be able to be UK Government Security Cleared
  • Ability to take a consultative approach to customer engagements
  • Understand the challenges customers face when securing networks and services against cyber threats
  • Attending customer site visits and/or conference calls as required
  • Reporting into Technical Services Manager
