Job Description of a Production Engineer
- Driving actions with cross functional teams to improve all KPI’s for the plant, ensuring production attainment, efficiency, quality and scrap reduction objectives accomplishment.
- Participation in the Daily Start-up /Accountability meeting as required.
- Manage and implement engineering changes requests from design to production.
- Manage and implement production IT improvement projects across the site.
- Support electro-pneumatic production test equipment.
- Working with NPI Project engineers to implement new products to existing and new production lines.
- Manage and present data to various levels of the organisation.
Salary: Circa 35k
Hours – Day Shift. (Early Friday finish)
Skills & experience of a Production Engineer
- A background in an engineering discipline is required and the relevant practical experience in a manufacturing environment.
- Ideally educated to degree level, individuals with HNC relevant qualifications and industrial experience will be considered with a minimum of 3 years’ experience in a similar role.
- Electro-mechanical background with experience of automated assembly management systems and production IT systems, familiar with LabVIEW software.
- A proven track record as a process / manufacturing engineer delivering significant value to an organisation and have a sense of urgency to deliver to your internal customers solutions on time and to requirement.
- Ability to work effectively and communicate with cross-functional teams plus a key team player is essential to this role, you will need to have good interpersonal skills and be a proactive engineer able to work with all levels of an organisation.
- Possess a practical approach to problem solving using A3 /8D problem solving methodology, analytical with experience of robust data driven decisions.
- Able to drive process change and development in a demanding environment.
