We have an exciting opportunity for a Cloud Technical Support Engineer to join a Global Leading SaaS Data Security Company. They are continuing to grow their EMEA function and this is a great opportunity to join them on their UK adventure!

They are passionate about developing the best ways to detect potential threats, backup and restore information and data for organisations across the world!

Position Overview

This position will see you join our client’s Cloud Technical Support Team. You will provide Technical Support for their EMEA based customers from their offices in Maidenhead, Berkshire.

You will join a team of passionate trouble-shooters, who love to solve tricky technical issues. Along with supporting their product/cloud services, you will also be exposed to a range of different environments and technologies, testing your techy abilities to the max!

Along with solving technical cases, you will also be involved in helping customers get the best out of their environments, whilst also helping with documentation in solving new issues.

Key Skills

  • Strong skills in troubleshooting or systems administration of Linux environments.
  • Has the ability to recognise, decipher and modify Linux/Unix Shell scrips.
  • Has experience working with SAN or NAS and is exposed to using a communication tool such as iSCSI, CIFS or NFS etc…
  • Experience working with a Database technology and has the ability to write custom SQL scripts.
  • Any experience working with Windows or Mac environments would be beneficial, but not essential.
  • Any experience working with a Backup Software would be beneficial, but not essential.
  • You love to troubleshoot! You enjoy taking on new technical challenges and get a kick out of solving problems.
  • Has a pro-active approach and can take ownership of technical cases. You will be owning issues from escalation through to working with their development teams to solve issues.
  • Excellent prioritisation skills and has the ability think quickly on your feet when dealing with multiple technical cases.
