Job Title: Senior Commercial Manager x 1

Our Client, a large aerospace organisation are looking for a Senior Commercial Manager to be based in Bournemouth.

The role will be based in Bournemouth, with 2 days per week on site and the balance remote working. However, during times of high demand there may be the need for additional days on site.

Some additional travel may be required to the customer sites in Bristol and Newquay.

Overview:
To be a Senior Commercial Manager for Draken Europe ensuring that the Company's business objectives are met whilst maintaining the required commercial governance and to co-ordinate commercial activities effectively. The Senior Commercial Manager is a member of the Contract and Commercial team.

Day to Day activities:
Safety first. Operate at Draken Europe in accordance with the SHE standards. Identify where the SHE Standards are applicable to appointed operations/tasks and apply safe systems of work identified
Risk management and mitigation
Leading negotiations on contractual Terms and Conditions with new and existing customers, minimising liability for the Company, and maximising profit
Liaising with colleagues and customers during the preparation of bids and quotations to ensure a speedy response to enquiries likely to lead to contract award
Supporting Company Tender Vetting and Contract Acceptance approvals
Identifying and addressing contract changes, and settling all liability issues affecting operations, as they arise
Summarising key Terms and Conditions, risk and reward for presentation to broader audiences
Ensuring compliance with Divisional and Draken Europe's Corporate Frame Work and Contract Policy
Own and contract manage a portfolio of contracts
High level of customer interface to maintain positive relationship
Any other duties that are reasonably requested by management within the capability of the incumbent.

Specifically, they will be responsible for:
* Work with a Broad range of Clients. This will include the Search & Rescue programme with the Dutch Navy.
* Will have extensive involvement with the MoD
* Will be responsible for business acquisition (within the Bid process)
* Will be responsible for Contract Management and Procurement and associated sub-contracts

Required skills and experience:
Will have operated as a Commercial Manager / Senior Commercial Manager with at least circa 8 years of experience.
Will have extensive experience of dealing with the MoD - essential (it doesn't have to be recent, but they must have MoD experience)
Will have excellent Stakeholder and Customer focus skills
Will have a broad range of commercial skills (including Costing / Pricing, risk and risk mitigation, T&C's)
Will have experience of Change Management
Have experience of assisting with Bids and Proposals
Must come from a Defence / Aerospace background, ideally within a service-based environment.

You will be working with sensitive data and as such you should be willing to undergo BPSS (Baseline) & Disclosure Barring Service Checks before being able to commence the contract
