We are currently working with a specialist specialist provision in the Darlington area that caters for children with various barriers to learning, including behaviour that challenges, and have a diagnosis of Autism. They are seeking dedicated and enthusiastic support assistants to provide classroom and 1:1 support to children to help them engage with education where otherwise this may not be possible.

For the right candidate this would be a full time role with the view of starting as soon as possible. Experience working with children within SENd is desired.

The ideal candidate should have:
A willingness to support children in their learning, activities and academic development.
High aspirations for all children and a desire to raise standards.
High aspirations for themselves and a commitment to further development.
A qualification in Team Teach and/or effective de-escalation is preferred.
