Lamonby Recruitment are looking for an experienced Mechanical Fitter. We are excited to be exclusively representing a company based in Barnet (North London), who have built up a superior reputation within the industry for top of the range labelling equipment. Our client has to meet specific requirements and pay a high attention to detail as demanded by the international pharmaceutical industry.
Due to a sustained period of success our client is looking to continue expanding and they are seeking a mechanical fitter to blossom in an already successful in-house manufacture team.
In return our client is looking to offer a basic salary of around £25,000, a contributory pension scheme, excellent holiday entitlements combined with training and fantastic career development opportunities. Other benefits are available upon request. (Barnet, North London)

Mechanical Fitter Role
Dismantle/assemble heavy machinery or equipment using a wide range of plant and tooling equipment such as hoists, jacks and skates
Assembling, testing, and refurbishment of equipment.
Ability to read and understand engineering drawings.
Effective problem solving.
Excellent mechanical fitting skills and experience.
Experience of production work in an engineering team environment.
Good communication skills.
Ability to work on their own initiative.
Role Requirements and Qualifications
A qualification in engineering (City & Guilds or NVQ)/comparable trade papers from the Armed Forces/a recognised indentured apprenticeship is ideal.
5 years+ fitting experience
Experience working with metals such as steel (polished stainless ideally)
A wide range of fitting skills are required including drilling, tapping, pipe fitting, instrumentation pipe fitting, light machine work, and the use of hand / power tools.
