Personal assistant Based in Southwark and the salary is £18.20 ph PAYE  

This is a full time temporary role.

This role will involve:

  • To act as the Departmental assistant to the Directors of Leisure and Environment, ensuring there is sufficient and suitable professional support and assistance and that their needs are effectively met and managed.
  • To provide high quality administrative and secretarial support to the Directors.
  • To ensure that arrangements, agendas and papers for meeting and briefings are accurate, prepared in a timely manner and are effectively communicated and managed, and that suitable systems are in place.
  • To organise and arrange meetings, seminars, conferences and visits for the Directors and to ensure that suitable venues and appropriate travel arrangements or bookings are made.
  • To coordinate and manage the compilation and distribution of reports, information or other items required by the Directors, and ensure such items are on time and of a high quality.

  • To ensure that the Directors are suitably briefed and prepared ahead of meetings, and that they are kept informed about relevant changes and developments in a timely manner
  • To provide high quality administrative and general secretarial support to the Directors.
  • To record minutes of meetings as required, noting actions arising, communicating them clearly and managing the updates of action plans.

Ideally candidates will have:

  • Knowledge of strategies and techniques for delivering effective and ongoing support to senior managers and directors
  • Extensive experience of supporting Senior mangers
  • High levels of personal skills including confidentiality, tact, diplomacy empathy and sensitivity, and an awareness of the environment the role is operating within
  • High levels of IT literacy, especially in relation to office based packages
  • High levels of minute taking and action planning skills
