The Team
The SAP Practice Change Delivery team own and run HMRC’s SAP estate, that includes Enterprise Tax Management Platform( ETMP ) and SAP systems supporting internal HR and Finance.
We work closely with diverse customer groups throughout the entire lifecycle, from inception of new initiatives, to leading on delivery and improvements to Live Services.

We support policy teams and operational colleagues to deliver business through our SAP functions that handle all payments in and out of HMRC and conduct millions of customer transactions.
Work coming into the team can originate from legislative changes, policy changes, improvements to the customer offering or ministerial requirements. Job description You will ensure that any SAP changes and new pieces of work are safely delivered in line with our strategy, policies, process and governance.

Accountable for management of the change, working with HMRC partners and our supplier community, you will ensure new and existing products/changes are produced to correct requirements, support the delivery of strategic objectives and be delivered to time and cost.

This is a role with line management duties and responsibilities.

The role is based in Worthing however some travel and overnight stays will be required when current restrictions are lifted.

Responsibilities • Build, and lead a collaborate team of associate and junior deliver managers and drive their delivery of change.

• Deliver change within cost and time constraints reporting to senior partners.

• Manage relationships with suppliers for projects, setting shared expectations, project scope, budgets and handle risk.

• Develop an understanding of specific SAP functionality and build knowledge of business operations, business processes and systems.

• Provide SAP strategic vision and direction, advocating SAP standards on projects and programmes.

• Ensure compliance to government policies and standards, and with processes within CDIO.

• Coach team members, share your own skills and knowledge to develop capability across the wider team and continuously improve the team and delivery.
