Passenger Services Manager Based in Wakefield and the salary is £16.71ph PAYE  

This is a full time temporary role.

This role will involve:

• Manage the Passenger Transport function ensuring that human resources and vehicles are utilised effectively to meet service needs in line with departmental policies and agreed management priorities.
• Manage the planning of responsive and provision of reactive transport services to enable vulnerable people to access services in a safe and comfortable way accommodating other additional requests for transport as required.
• Manage the in-house provision of Home to School transport for children with special educational needs, children with complex care needs and looked after children.
• Manage the school meals transport from establishments and schools to suit requirements, rearranging and agreeing timescales and negotiate contract periods and costs.
• Manage a team of Officers and Driver Attendants ensuring adequate cover of the critical front line service is maintained at all times.
• Manage, control and report on all casual staff usage and overtime worked, ensuring provision within allocated budgets.

Ideally candidates will have:

• NVQ level 4 or equivalent.
• Driving licence Category D1
• Level 3 Certificate in Management
• ECDL
• A Health and Safety Certificate
• A good working knowledge of Corporate Initiatives i.e. HR procedures/legislation, Equal Opportunities, DDA, Recruitment, Absence monitoring etc.
• Knowledge of Disclosure and Barring Service (DBS) requirements and Data Protection legislation
